Friday Favourites

Friday Favourites

Hey guys. It's Fridaaayyy! Which means it's time for this week's Friday Favourites. This week's list features cocktails, smoothies, Kat Von D makeup and art at the National Portrait Gallery.

Cocktail Recipe – Lemon Drop Cocktail

50ml vodka

50ml lemon juice

1 tbsp sugar

Shake all all the ingredients apart from the lemonade. Pour the cocktail into your glass and use lemonade to up your glass. Enjoy!

Accessory - Bandana Neckerchief

Neckpieces have become more of a mainstay in the past year; from different choker designs to thin silk scarves. We think nothing transforms your outfit to one of fully-fledged agent of coolitude than a bandana neckerchief. Available in different colours, get creative when planning your outfits and maybe putting together an ensemble you wouldn’t typically wear if not for the scarf.

Makeup – Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation

If you’ve tried everything from Mac to Bobbi Brown and for some reason, they just don’t cut the mustard – either the coverage isn’t all that great or they don’t last as long as you’d look – we highly recommend Kat Von D’s Lock-It Foundation. Out right now is the new and improved formula with great coverage and blends very well, too. Because it’s so pigmented, it can be used as a spot concealer for those days when you don’t fancy wearing too much makeup.

Smoothie - Melon smoothie

¼ cantaloupe

¼ honeydew melon

1 lime, juiced

Toss all the ingredients into a smoothie maker or a blender, blend and serve! Super easy and super delicious

National Portrait Gallery Drop-In Drawing Sessions

Artists assemble! The National Portrait Gallery put on evening art sessions, giving you the fabulous opportunity to get together with other artists and do what you love doing – creating! The sessions are for all levels and all the materials are provided for you. Get you along and try it out!

Hope you enjoyed this week’s Friday Favourites. Be sure to share with your friends if you think they’d like it too!
